Grimkirk ap Greymoor is a 13c Welshman just looking to make his way in the world. His Welsh father was a merchant/explorer who found himself on the wrong side of the channel long enough to court and marry a persuasive Lady of the French court, who was not without considerable means. Their wealth provided him with some relative comforts. To nobody's great surprise, he chose to pursue a life of great adventure, and has travelled to or lived in most of the Kingdoms of the Known World.

Lord Grimkirk waited 14 years for his Award of Arms in A.S. XXIII, and received an Award of the Purple Fret in A.S. XXV for his service as Seneschal of the Shire of Rokkehealdan. He was made a Premier Companion of the Order of the Cavendish Knot in A.S. XXVIII for his skill and service to Their Rapier community through his School of Defense, the Academy de la Columbe, and has trained some of the Kingdom's finest rapier heroes.

Lord Grimkirk and Duke Dagan met somewhat serendipitously in A.S. XXX, and His Grace squired him that same year at Swine and Roses. He is the third of several esteemed brethren. Despite his recent absence from the field, he longs for the scent of the foe, and the song of battle, and declares that he will soon return to seek greater renown under the gold and crimson banner of the Red Winged Lion.
